Your Role and Impact as a Mechanical Fitter:
As a key Mechanical Fitter, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of installation and assembly for commercial freezer bodies. Working independently and on your own initiative, your responsibilities will include:
* Reading engineering drawings and working from works orders.
* Installing insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies.
* Electrically terminating lighting, switches, and tail lifts.
* Sealing joints, floors, and roofs with silicone and gel coatings.
* Cutting metals, woods, and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment.
* Ensuring good housekeeping in all work areas, including workshops and vehicles.
* Adhering to company Health & Safety, maintenance procedures, and quality control.
Is This Role for You?
We're looking for a Mechanical Fitter with previous experience as an Assembly Technician or Panel Technician. You'll have an excellent understanding of the manufacturing process and be proficient in using hand tools, bench saws, and measurement equipment safely. You'll also need your own transportation or be able to reliably travel to the site in Melksham.
