Our large hospitality client with several venues in Glasgow require a detail orientated and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Glasgow. The position is office based and requires the candidate to work Monday to Friday (40 hours weekly) at the office.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
* Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
* Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare financial reports for management review.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Collate and process payroll
Qualifications
* Proven 5 years experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in accounting software- Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero (or similar).
* Strong understanding of payroll and legislation
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and bookkeeping principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary depending on experience. Position is temporary to permanent after 13 full weeks of work.
