About The Role
As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model who leads by example to embody the quality of supreme kindness in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help ensure residents are treated as individuals with their own stories, and you will have a wonderful opportunity to give back to the people we serve. You will help deliver care planning arrangements with a focus on resident choice and independence. You will support nursing tasks delegated to you, report accidents, and spend time with residents showing empathy and ensuring wellbeing remains the priority.
What you will do
* Assist in administering medicines and providing direct clinical care under the supervision of a qualified nurse
* Support care planning and ensure resident wellbeing, choice and independence
* Engage with residents, especially those living with dementia, to promote dignity and quality of life
About You
Senior Care Assistants who want to develop their career with HC-One may apply for this development opportunity. The program upskills Senior Care Assistants to undertake more responsibility and develop the skills needed to become a Nursing Assistant. This role offers a salary increase upon successful completion of the program.
To qualify for the development program:
* Level 3 Diploma/SVQ in Adult Care (or working towards)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health & Social Care where you have been a Senior Carer or held a leadership role with responsibilities around administering medicines and leading a shift
* Knowledge and understanding of person-led care planning and relevant regulatory requirements
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training as needed.
