Join Our Team at Akari Care
If you are passionate about caring for the elderly and want to build a long-term career in one of our award-winning homes, then look no further than Akari Care. Our aim is to create an environment where our residents are valued, respected, and offered the personalised care they deserve.
We now seek an Assistant Cook who is passionate about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference in the lives of older people.
Mealtimes are a vital part of the day for our residents. At Akari Care, we take pride in preparing food of outstanding quality—wholesome and nutritious—while being mindful of individual needs, religious, and cultural backgrounds. We continually assess how these factors impact meal choices and ensure all residents receive a personalised service.
As the key link between the kitchen and serving areas, you will have the autonomy to create menus, plate food, and arrange food trollies attractively to stimulate residents' appetites.
Playing a fundamental role in our care team, you will have the opportunity to coach team members, develop ideas, and support their personal growth.
We value your commitment to our core principles of personalised care, community spirit, kindness, and compassion. In return, we offer opportunities to develop your knowledge, skills, and abilities to support vulnerable adults with their individual needs.
