Description
This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, driving efficiency, and delivering high-quality service to our clients. The role is responsible for overseeing production processes, supply chain management, and the deployment of field service operatives while implementing best-in-class operational strategies.
This role provides strategic operational leadership across the business to support our overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
↘ Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and field service operations.
↘ Manufacturing: Ensure efficient and cost-effective production processes, driving continuous improvement and quality standards.
↘ Field Service Management: Lead a production workshop and 2 satellite locations with a team of field service operatives, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery to customers.
↘ Process Improvement: Utilise Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
↘ Performance Metrics: Define KPIs and implement performance measurement systems to track productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
↘ Supply Chain & Logistics: Streamline supply chain operations to enhance procurement, resilience, inventory control, and distribution efficiency.
↘ Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health & safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
↘ Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to drive operational excellence and service delivery.

Essential Experience & Skills
Effective communication both written and oral
Effective planning, organisation, prioritisation
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word/Excel)
Strong background in engineering, Lean Six Sigma
Experience in a manufacturing environment
High level of attention to detail
Ability to collaborate across all departments
Ability to work under pressure and be flexible
Desirable Experience & Skills
Experience working in the automotive sector
Van sector experience or OEM experience
Experience of OEM PPAP processes
Experience of vehicle conversions
