This voluntary role will involve assisting with events including facilitating and attending events, organising cheque presentations and taking part in launch photos, building connections in your area so we can be there for more families who need us.Key Information for Community Champions:• Every Community Champion will be vetted and receive the relevant training including training on the charity, delivering a thank you speech and key PR training.• The Community Champion will work closely with the charity's Community Fundraiser/South Down Fundraiser as well as the Volunteer Coordinator.• Community Champions will be invited to a monthly online meeting with the Community Fundraiser and Volunteer Coordinator where they will receive updates from the charity, discuss upcoming events and also have a space to discuss any problems they may be having in their areas.• Each Community Champion will be provided with the materials they need for the job including a lanyard and ID badge, Cancer Fund for Children branded clothing, buckets, cans, presentations and cheques.• Community Champions must be over 19 years of age.
