Interior Trim Planner Assignment Type: Temporary, ongoing basis where you will be engaged via HaysLocation: ChichesterWorking Environment: office based on sitePay type:petitive hourly pay rateOur clientThe World’s pre-eminent super-luxury automotive brand based in Goodwood, near Chichester, West Sussex, whichprises its global headquarters and Global Centre of Luxury Manufacturing Excellence.The RoleJob DescriptionWhat awaits you?Conduct evaluations for feasibility and cost for New Product Introduction (NPI) of low volume, high value products for manufacture within our Interior Trim Bespoke Studio.Project management of Interior Trim Centre activities through entire NPI process including evaluation, engineering / development, industrialisation and launch.Participate in design and engineering reviews, conduct risk-based evaluations of production processes and implement risk mitigations to streamline the delivery of new products and satisfy the defined quality standards.Plan and deliver evaluation trials, prototypes, and initial trial batch production through to integration of a stable process capable of delivering the required volume output.Perform and lead cross-functional problem-solving using DMAIC methodology.Develop, improve and industrialise new and existing manufacturing processes.Lead purchasing andmissioning of new jigs, fixtures, tooling and equipment as defined by each project.What you should bring along?Experience in a manufacturing engineering role preferably within automotive, aerospace or marineKnowledge of NPI, APQP & Project Management.Proficiency in 2D and 3D CADKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniquesStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to manageplex technical issuesInterpersonal andmunication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teamsPreferable ~ degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing EngineeringBenefits:Access to a subsidised restaurantHays Go1 training platform which offers a library of over 70,000 courses.Access to Ben – Offers support across a wide range of topics such as mental health well-being, financial or legal mattersLocal retail and restaurant discounts35 days annual leave (Including bank holidays)What next?If you are interested in this role, click ‘apply now’ to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now on 0116 261 5001. #4765284 - Jane Pretty
