Job Description:
We are recruiting afull-time, permanent HGV Class 1 Driverto join our team. This roleoperateson a4 on / 4 off shift pattern, covering bothday and night shifts.Previousexperience asaHGV Class 1 driver is essential.
You willbe responsible fortheon-time and in-full deliveryof sandwiches and food-to-go products to our customers, playing a key role inmaintainingfood safety standardsthroughout the delivery process.
As aclient-facing ambassadorfor our brand, drivers are expected tomaintainhigh standardsof professionalism, behaviour, and personal presentation. Delivery routes will vary, withfull training provided on different roundswhererequired. You can expect to:
Whatyou'llbe doing:
* Complete all food safety and transport documentation asrequiredon every shift.
* Complete vehicle temperature checks prior to each delivery to ensure goods are within required temperature specifications and that vehicle safety standards aremaintained.
* Work within your qualified legislation constraints which will bemonitored, with licence checks completed twice annually.
* Maintain cleanliness of vehicles (both inside the cab and the exterior the vehicle).
* Return empty basket and pallet equipment on each journey and unload into storage area prior to cleaning your vehicle.
* Refuel vehicles prior to return to site and ensure odometer readings are recorded
About you:
* Hold a full UK HGV Class 1 licence for at least 24 months with no more than 6 penalty points, along with a valid Digi-card and in-date Driver CPC
* Previousexperience driving safely and courteously, with the ability to use initiative and remain calm under pressure
* Experience transporting refrigerated goods and FLT experience are desirable
