With strong business growth and cutting-edge product development, we have an incredible opportunity for a Vision Engineer to join our Operations Engineering Group and make a significant impact across our manufacturing area. The Role: As a Vision Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind our test strip and biosensor manufacturing processes. You'll bring innovative solutions to complex problems, staying ahead of the curve in vision systems technology. Collaborate with engineering colleagues across manufacturing and R& D, and be involved in every aspect of vision systems projects—from scoping initial requirements to designing, developing, and installing solutions across our automated manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities: Innovative Problem Solving: Apply the latest vision systems technology to solve complex manufacturing challenges. Project Leadership: Lead vision systems projects from proposal and specification to design, development, and installation. Strategy Development: Develop and promote a Machine Vision strategy for the department, advising on industry trends and emerging applications. Supplier Selection: Lead sourcing and supplier selection for vision systems technology. Dynamic Work Environment: Enjoy a variety of tasks in a fast-paced setting with clear objectives. High-Quality Delivery: Ensure the delivery of high-quality products and lead conversations to explore new frontiers. Specialized Expertise: Be highly specialized in your field, bringing depth and breadth of experience. About You: Qualifications: HNC, HND, or degree in a relevant Engineering/Scientific discipline. Experience: Proven track record integrating Vision Systems and Automated inspection solutions, ideally using Cognex and Keyence. Programming in C/C# and knowledge of code readers. Control system skills in Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLC platforms beneficial. Experience with vision libraries and frameworks like OpenCV or PyTorch is a plus. Skills: Demonstrated ability to accomplish objectives, work proactively, and manage time effectively. Ability to follow procedures and create accurate documentation in a regulated industry.
