Role
Joining an established and expanding highways team, you will take ownership of scheme delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction support. You will have exposure to a diverse project portfolio spanning rail, power & energy, and traditional highway infrastructure – giving you breadth of experience that is rare in a single role.
Responsibilities
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
* Producing highway engineering designs from feasibility through to detailed design stage
* Alignment design and Civil 3D modelling
* Highway drainage design and associated calculations
* Traffic signs, road markings, pavement, fencing, and VRS design
* Preparation of specifications for highway works
* Supporting construction teams and site activities as required
Qualifications
Essential Minimum of two years' post‑graduate experience in civil engineering design within the highways sector.
* Proficiency in Civil 3D and highway alignment design
* Practical experience in highway drainage design
* MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Desirable
* Exposure to a broad range of highway project types
* Experience with specialist highway design software (e.g. Infodrainage for drainage design)
* Familiarity with traffic signs & road markings, pavement, fencing, and VRS design
* Experience preparing specifications for highway works
