Restaurant Runner provides restaurant-quality fresh food for guests to have delivered to their accommodation during their stay.
ASSISTANT KITCHEN MANAGER / SENIOR CHEF DE PARTIE | Circa £34,300 per annum
All colleagues working in the following restaurants: Rajinda Pradesh, Huck's American Bar and Grill, The Pancake House, Sports Café, The Lakeside Inn, and Vitalé Café Bar will benefit from the discretionary service charge we add to bills. You will assist with leading a kitchen brigade dedicated to providing a first-class service and excellent food quality to our guests.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting the Kitchen Manager / Head Chef in the effective and efficient management of the kitchen and team
2. Ensuring the kitchen operates within its agreed budget through analysing and rectifying food costs and margins
3. Monitoring guest satisfaction levels on the quality of food and taking action to remedy shortfalls
4. Playing a key role in the Department’s compliance with food safety legislation
5. Preparing and presenting food to the determined specification
HOURS OF WORK
Working straight shifts, you will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts are typically 2pm - 10.30pm.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential requirements:
6. Intermediate Food Hygiene
7. A group trainer qualification or experience of training a group of staff
8. A minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths
9. Previous experience as a Chef de Partie with supervisory and training responsibility for a team of chefs in a large organisation or as a Head Chef / Sous Chef in a smaller establishment
10. Computer Literacy
Desirable requirements:
11. A formal cooking qualification or willingness to study
