Band 6 Physiotherapist
Minimum closing date: 27 April 2026.
The post is based at the Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF), Thorney Island Medical Centre.
Employment type: Full‑time 37.5 hours per week. Part‑time candidates may be considered on a job‑share basis; pay will be pro‑rata.
Salary: £38,682 to £46,580 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
Contract type: Permanent.
Working pattern: Full‑time, part‑time job share.
Main duties
* Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by various healthcare professionals, diagnosing a range of musculoskeletal, sports, and orthopaedic conditions.
* Formulate, develop and deliver evidence‑based, individualized treatment programmes using manual therapy and exercise therapy.
* Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring informed consent, understanding of their conditions, and maximising rehabilitation potential.
* Prioritise and manage own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
* Produce clinical reports summarising prognoses and comprehensive discharge planning for other medical professionals and, where appropriate, for the military Chain of Command.
Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
Registrations and Memberships
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP).
* State‑registered Physiotherapist (Health and Care Professions Council – HCPC).

Experience
* Relevant experience in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and orthopaedic conditions.
* Experience in manual therapy and exercise therapy.
* Relevant postgraduate clinical experience, minimum of 2 years.

* Access to NHS pension scheme is available.
* Evidence of Hepatitis‑B immunity (serology) required for successful candidates.
* No relocation expenses will be offered; move of home and temporary transfer are not covered.
