Secondary schools in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are seeking Cover Supervisors to start in September 2026, with the position being offered through Prospero Teaching. About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff. You will ensure that students remain on task, support them with their work, and create a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise students across a range of subjects during planned or short-term absence of teachers
2. Ensure students stay engaged and on-task with pre-set work
3. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
4. Provide support to students with additional needs when required
5. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students in the classroom
About You:
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to manage student behaviour effectively and promote positive learning
8. A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning
9. Experience in working with young people (ideal but not essential)
