Stepping Stones are looking to recruit an exceptional Deputy Manager for our home in Broadoak, Newnham on Severn.
As Deputy Manager you’ll use your leadership skills to make sure our residents get the quality care we’re known for. We’ll look to you to be a hands-on leader that creates a safe and supportive environment for our residents who may have a range of both complex and challenging needs. The homes support adults with Learning difficulties and some behaviours that challenge.
You will work to the Home Manager and alongside the Care and Compliance Deputy Manager in ensuring a safe and secure environment for the people in our care.
You will work in liaison with the Company management to ensure that all shifts are covered and being on the on-call rota to be able to address urgent out of hours queries and concerns which may entail covering shifts as a last resort.
You’ll be responsible for completion of a range of quality audits and you’ll support and mentor your team to make sure they have the training they need to deliver the highest standards of care to our residents.
ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Deputy Manager you’ll need experience working with vulnerable adults and be minimum NVQ3 qualified.
You’ll have supervisory experience in a care home, including producing care plans and detailed risk assessments, as well as strong staff management skills and a knowledge and understanding of Human Resources.
We’ll also look for an understanding of regulatory frameworks for Health and Safety. Ideally the successful candidate will be IOSH trained or prepared to undergo the relevant training.
You’ll be a natural leader and problem solver who has worked in the industry at all levels, and a mentor, including supporting newly appointed staff. You’ll be dedicated, ambitious and resilient, you’ll have a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.
