Project Manager – Smart Meter (GSOP)
£480/day (Inside IR35) | Windsor, UK (Hybrid – 1 day)
6-Month Contract (Start: 1 May 2026)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Smart Meter to drive regulatory GSOP initiatives within Smart Meter operations. This role focuses on delivering complex projects where requirements evolve, requiring strong stakeholder engagement, planning, and governance across business and technology teams. As Smart Meter Project Manager, you will lead GSOP-focused initiatives, working closely with operations leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. You will manage planning, reporting, and delivery while translating business requirements into actionable outcomes for technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of Smart Meter GSOP regulatory projects
* Define project plans, milestones, and delivery roadmap
* Present business cases and updates to programme governance boards
* Manage project budgets, approvals, and financial tracking
* Work with evolving requirements and drive clarity across stakeholders
* Translate business requirements into functional specifications
* Manage risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
* Liaise between business stakeholders and technology teams
* Support implementation across Smart Meter operations
* Provide clear reporting to programme leadership
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong Project Manager experience within Smart Meter programmes
* Hands-on delivery of GSOP or regulatory-driven projects
* Experience within Smart Meter operations environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
* Experience presenting to programme or governance boards
* Budget management and business case development experience
* Ability to manage ambiguous or evolving requirements
* Experience translating business needs for technical teams
* Strong communication and reporting skills
* Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams
Experience Required
* 15+ years total IT experience
* 10+ years Project Manager experience
* Proven delivery of Smart Meter projects
* Experience working in regulated environments
