The Supply Register is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support William Lovell Academy, part of the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or anyone with experience leading groups of young people. No QTS required.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom to provide short-term or day-to-day cover during teacher absence. You’ll supervise pupils as they complete pre-set work, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure lessons run smoothly.
You’ll play an important role in keeping students engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson plans
* Maintain calm, focused, and well-managed classrooms
* Provide clear instructions and keep pupils on task
* Encourage positive behaviour and participation
* Follow school policies and report any concerns appropriately
* Build professional, positive relationships with pupils and staff
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with young people (school experience helpful but not essential)
* Confidence to lead a class independently
* Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
* A proactive, reliable, and resilient approach
* A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
* Willingness to complete training and ongoing CPD
