Health & Safety CDM Officer Location: Stevenage (Hybrid working 34 days on-site)
Salary: Circa £40,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety CDM Officer to join a well-established organisation operating within a highly regulated environment. This role sits within the Facilities & Construction function, supporting the safe delivery of projects and contractor activities across multiple UK sites.
The Role You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure all construction and facilities works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with CDM regulations. This is a hands-on position requiring regular site engagement, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting Health & Safety inspections and monitoring contractor performance
Supporting CDM compliance across a range of projects
Ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed out effectively
Assisting with audits and maintaining robust compliance processes
Investigating incidents and producing clear reports and analysis
Providing practical guidance to promote a strong safety culture
Building effective working relationships across operational teams
This hybrid role requires on-site presence 34 days per week due to the nature of the work, with occasional travel as needed.
About You NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (essential)
Experience within construction, engineering, or facilities environments
Understanding of contractor management and compliance processes
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge where required
Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage a varied workload
