Overview
You will carry out work on individual properties and communal areas as directed by your supervisor, including general repairs. You'll conduct pre- and post-inspections, recording actions and outcomes. You'll assist with scheduling work and monitor your own expenditure, keeping accurate records while focusing on cost-efficiency and providing value for money to customers. All work must be completed in compliance with Health & Safety guidelines and company policies. Safeguarding is a priority, and the recruitment process includes pre-employment checks such as Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks where applicable to promote a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
* Carry out work on individual properties and communal areas as directed by your supervisor, including general repairs.
* Conduct pre- and post-inspections, recording actions and outcomes.
* Assist with scheduling work and monitor personal expenditure, keeping accurate records and focusing on cost-efficiency and value for money to customers.
* Supervise and train apprentices when appropriate and undertake training as directed by your supervisor.
* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Health & Safety guidelines and company policies.
Requirements / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in your trade (technical competency).
* Hold a valid driving licence and, due to the patch you are covering, be in the PR postcode area.
* Strong organizational skills for planning workloads and estimating supplies and time.
* Positive attitude toward health and safety and ability to comply with company policies and standards.
* Good communication skills and ability to use a tablet or smartphone for recording activities, capturing images, and recording survey data.
* A current driving licence is essential; an additional Level 2 qualification in a relevant trade is preferred.
