This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the opportunity to teach English across Key Stages 3 to 5 within a supportive and high-achieving environment.

About the Role

The school is seeking a creative and committed English Teacher with a genuine passion for their subject and a desire to inspire a love of language and literature in young people. The successful candidate will possess excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom practice and a commitment to delivering engaging and challenging lessons that enable all students to succeed.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Teach English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
• Ideally have the ability to teach both English Language and English Literature to A Level.
• Deliver engaging, innovative and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to raising student attainment and progress.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative and highly successful English Department.
• Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral care.

The English Department is a highly respected and successful team with a strong track record of excellent GCSE and A Level outcomes in both English Language and English Literature.

The department is committed to mixed-ability teaching across all key stages and has recently developed an innovative Key Stage 3 curriculum designed to broaden students' appreciation of literature and language while preparing them for the demands of GCSE study.
