Finance Analyst Job Description: The Commercial Finance team is central to helping Sage make better decisions and enable our leaders to successfully deliver on its strategy. Purpose of role is to prepare and deliver internal and group processes including month-end, budgeting, and forecasting; develop analysis of financial and non-financial data for the Business Unit within the Global Product Organisation (GPO); and ensure deliverables are materially accurate and produced to a deadline. The analyst will be an integral part of the broader finance analyst community. This role will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively across many areas of finance and receive exposure to senior finance & GPO leaders, representing a great platform for developing a career at Sage. This is a hybrid role based from our London office. Key Responsibilities: Summary of role This role sits within Commercial Finance and works closely with Finance Business Partners and GPO leadership to support strong financial planning, reporting and decision-making. The focus is on delivering high-quality insights that improve forecast accuracy, strengthen performance management and help the business deliver against its plans. What I will be doing You'll partner with FBPs and senior leaders to build accurate budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and financial systems. You'll play a key role in month-end close, analysing variances and improving the quality of reporting. The role involves producing and evolving monthly and ad-hoc performance reports, developing insights across costs, revenue and SaaS KPIs, and helping leaders understand how these drivers impact financial outcomes. You'll also drive continuous improvement through better processes, standardisation and automation, while supporting wider Commercial Finance projects that deliver strategic value. What we are looking for We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting. You'll be comfortable working with both financial and non-financial data, collaborating with senior stakeholders and identifying opportunities to improve how finance supports the business. A proactive mindset, attention to detail and an interest in process improvement and automation will be key to success in this role.
