Our client, a reputable and award-winning bodyshop, is seeking an experienced MET Technician to strengthen their skilled team. This is an outstanding opportunity for skilled MET Technicians looking to work in a supportive environment with flexible working options and competitive pay.
Benefits include flexible working hours, no weekend work, a workplace pension scheme, and on-site parking. The role offers a basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum, with options to work four or five days per week, tailored to your requirements.
As a MET Technician, your responsibilities will include stripping, refurbishing, and fitting a wide variety of vehicles while ensuring repair standards meet manufacturer and BSI 10125 standards. You will be working alongside a team of painters, panel beaters, and other MET fitters, reporting directly to the workshop supervisor.
Key duties of the MET Technician role:
3. Demonstrate expertise in mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) fitting and stripping within a bodyshop environment
4. Carry out diagnostic work and ensure high quality repairs
5. Manage your own workload efficiently while supporting team workflows
6. Maintain high standards of accuracy with paperwork and job cards
7. Use your initiative to thrive in a fast-paced environment
MET Technician requirements:
8. Confidence in mechanical, electrical and trim MET fitting and stripping
9. Own tools and diagnostic experience
10. ATA/NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or a minimum of three years’ experience
11. Valid UK driving licence
12. Ability to work on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
13. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
14. Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude
15. Ability to meet targets and deadlines within a busy workshop environment
