Are you passionate about animal welfare and looking for a hands‑on role with a diverse range of species? Join our Animal Unit team and play a vital part in ensuring the highest standards of care for our Colleges animal collection.
Responsibilities
* Care for a wide variety of animals including livestock, poultry, exotic mammals, fish, reptiles, and amphibians.
* Clean accommodation and provide daily feeding.
* Maintain accurate animal records and conduct regular health checks.
* Administer medication as required.
* Uphold health, safety, hygiene and security procedures across the Animal Unit and practical areas.
* Support learners with practical tasks and supervise volunteers.
Qualifications
This role will involve lone working on a Sunday, some Saturdays and some bank holidays. You will need to be self‑motivated and have excellent time management. Successful candidates will hold a Level 2 Animal Care qualification or have significant professional experience.
