Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a Care Team Leader (Senior Care Assistant) – Nights at Phil Mead House, Coventry. The home is a 28-bed residential care home with a current Good CQC rating.
Role: Care Team Leader (Senior Carer) – Nights
Location: Phil Mead House, 240 Bredon Avenue, Coventry, CV3 2FD
Hours: 24.5 hours per week with alternative weekends. 8pm – 8am
Pay: £14.34 p/h – £14.80 p/h
Responsibilities
* Our Care Team Leaders sit at the heart of what we do. As the recognised Senior Carer on a shift, you\'ll have overall responsibility for regular monitoring of the health, care and social needs of residents.
* Prepare, implement and review residents\' personal care plans, including the administration of medication.
* Supervise, support, coach and develop other team members, and liaise with people involved in residents\' care, as well as with residents themselves. Ensure residents\' needs and wishes are at the centre of the care provided.
* As the Senior Carer on shift, take the lead when staff or residents need help, such as in the event of an emergency.
About You
* You must be an experienced Carer, ideally with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or be committed to working towards this.
* As a Care Team Leader, demonstrate good organisation and staff management skills. Be skilled in writing and updating Care Plans and competent in the administration of medication.
* Be passionate and committed to providing exceptional care to residents, their families and friends.
