A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Administrator to join the SSAFA Community Health Team in Akrotiri, providing essential administrative support to the Speech and Language Therapy service.
About the role
As a Business Support Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team across BFC, as well as the Community Health Team in Akrotiri. Responsibilities will include creating and maintaining records, retrieving and transferring documentation, managing databases for both SLT and the Community Health Team, and carrying out general administrative tasks.
You will also liaise with MOD schools and Early Years settings to arrange rooms and coordinate appointment schedules for SLTs. Additionally, you will be responsible for organising and supporting all administrative aspects of local and external meetings.
About the team
You will be supporting two Speech and Language Therapists and a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant within the BFC Speech and Language Therapy service. As part of the wider SSAFA Community Health Team based in Akrotiri, you will work alongside a broad range of healthcare professionals, including Midwives, Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Children’s Nurses, CAMHS practitioners, a Dietitian, a Consultant Community Paediatrician and a Consultant Paediatric Psychiatrist.
The team works collaboratively with Primary Health Care, Education, Social Care and Welfare agencies to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care across the community.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent IT skills, with confidence in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint. You will be highly organised, able to manage your time effectively, and communicate clearly and professionally.
As a collaborative team player, you will enjoy working alongside colleagues across the wider Community Health Team.
