Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Risk Management Advisor based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
The Risk Management Team in NHS Ayrshire & Arran are looking for a Senior Risk Management Advisor to join their friendly, dedicated and supportive team. Reporting to our Risk Team Lead, you will ideally have knowledge of Risk Management and Clinical Governance principles within an NHS Healthcare setting and experience leading a team.
Duties include supporting the Risk Team Lead and Risk Manager in respect of all risk activities within NHS Ayrshire & Arran, ensuring risks are identified and colleagues across the Board are supported in proactively managing these, in addition to developing and delivering local programmes of risk education and training, to meet identified needs. You will be a dynamic leader with the ability to manage, motivate and support team members to meet their potential and enable good team working.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Educated to Degree level with a qualification in Risk Management or equivalent experience is essential. We need you to have excellent communication, influencing and analytical skills and not be daunted to challenge attitudes and behaviours to change practice. You will promote a positive risk management and learning environment where lessons are learned within a supportive culture.
Being able to work on your own initiative, is key, partnered with good team working skills. A flexible approach to working is essential and we do this by promoting the use of flexi-time within the team. You will have excellent IT and systems management skills and a current driving license and access to a car is required, as the role can involve travel across the Board locality.
