Job summary

The Training and Quality Officer supports the delivery of high-quality training on medical devices and clinical digital systems, contributing to safe practice and effective digital adoption across the Trust. The role involves creating and delivering face-to-face, virtual and blended training, maintaining accurate records, and supporting quality assurance and audit activities. Working closely with clinical, operational and digital teams, the postholder adapts training to varied learner needs, provides frontline user support, and helps develop training materials and SOPs, ensuring compliance with governance and safety standards.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will support the delivery of training programmes on medical devices and clinical digital systems used across the Trust. They will contribute to the preparation and delivery of face-to-face, virtual, and blended training content; maintain accurate records; and provide frontline training support. The postholder will work under the supervision of the Senior Training and Quality Officer and contribute to quality assurance activities, audit preparation, and user engagement. This role supports safe clinical practice and digital adoption through high-quality, responsive training and development.

Due to the current service requirements of the Training and Quality Management team--including the delivery of in-person training, user support, and oversight of quality systems--postholders are expected to work on-site on a full-time basis. However, as the team evolves to support digital training delivery and the adoption of new services and technologies, there may be opportunities to adopt a hybrid working pattern in future, subject to service needs and role responsibilities.

The role may be expected to participate in an on-call rota, subject to the requirements of the service.
