Description With continued success and business growth Wincanton have the opportunity for Health and Safety Assistant to join our team at Branston. How will you contribute? Promotion of safety, health and environmental initiatives Coordinate and manage SHE communications e.g., bulletins, noticeboards/screens, briefing, information packs, policy guidance, toolbox talks etc Take part in talk safety conversations Take part in hazard spot exercises with shifts/department Monitor events uploaded onto Eco Online – Airsweb and ensure completion of investigations for accidents, incidents, near misses Carry out SHE audits / inspections as required and coordinate allocation of those Ensure adherence to accident / incident investigation procedures Manage the closure of non-conformances and corrective actions arising from investigations, inspections and risk assessments Support with keeping the SHE management system up to date/ Audit file Develop incident understanding to contribute to the root cause analysis team Assist the SHE team by collating weekly and monthly management information Attend and minute the site SHE committee meetings Coordinate and minute other SHE meetings Engagement of site SHE representatives. Provide support to the SHE team Daily, weekly and monthly communication of incidents and reporting Updating accident/near miss hot spots info/safety numbers board Delivery of SHE Inductions, H&S training to managers as and when required Ensure that site risk assessments and SSOW are reviewed in a timely manner. Support & assist Team Managers with day-to-day H&S related queries Maintain and manage accident / incident files Review risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work and schedule reviews so they are kept up to date Ensure H&S training matrix is updated Delegation of actions to management regarding incident investigation, inspections, risk assessments and safe systems of work Will carry out any other H&S tasks as when required What will you bring?
