What skills and experience we're looking for
Millthorpe School is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team and continue the work of our Attendance Manager whilst she is on maternity leave. The post holder will liaise with students, families and staff to remove any significant barriers to attending school, so that students can benefit from the excellent education and pastoral care that we offer and we can help them reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within attendance procedures in a school/education setting, with a proven track record of driving improvements in attendance and punctuality. You will be confident and able to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies as required, and you will possess strong IT skills. You must also have a driving licence and your own transport with business insurance as you will be required to undertake home visits to address concerns regarding student absence.
The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
