About the Role
As an Orderly, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clinical teams by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, equipment, and supplies across the hospital.
You’ll be part of a service that prioritises patient safety, quality care, and responsive support to staff and whānau. This is a hands‑on role where every day brings variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the patient experience.
You’ll work within the Facilities & Operational Support Service, maintaining high standards of occupational health and safety while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Our Orderly Services team at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital is a dedicated group of professionals who work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth and safe hospital operations. About you
As an Orderly, you will bring:
* A competent standard of literacy and effective communication skills.
* A friendly, mature attitude with a focus on problem solving and customer service.
* Physical capability to perform tasks such as patient transfers, equipment handling, and mobility across the hospital.
* An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to equity and cultural safety.
* A full driver’s licence and ideally, previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
