Role Purpose: The Western Trust are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Band 5 Nurses (including RGN and MH)
As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, development of care programs, and implementation and evaluation of these programs. This role requires the ability to carry out various forms of care both independently and as part of a team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care based on the Nursing Process method.
2. Ensure all patients receive care as identified in their care plans.
3. Oversee nursing procedures and treatments, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
4. Maintain accurate and legible patient records, adhering to confidentiality standards.
5. Participate in meal service and coordinate patients' meals/special diets when required.
6. Promote equality of opportunity and adhere to Trust policies and codes of conduct.
7. Participate in orientation and induction of new staff.
8. Organize patient reception, discharge, and aftercare in accordance with hospital policy.
9. Maintain open communication with patients' relatives, providing support when necessary.
10. Supervise junior nursing staff and nursing auxiliaries.
11. Contribute to research and trials of new equipment.
Essential Criteria:
12. Live NMC registration with a minimum of 6 months post qualifying experience.
