Software Engineer IIIJob Description
As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within CIB Research Technology you are a key part of the global team who owns the engineering behind the CIB's award-winning Research organisation. You are a technical contributor in the team, building solutions that transform and evolve our platform to enable our analysts to produce engaging and high-quality financial research. Our team owns the flagship JPMM Research Platform along with the Content Creation Platform used for producing Research. We work across a variety of stacks and technologies with a broad remit and great deal of autonomy. This role will specifically focus on a key workstream to expand our platform across the Markets organisation.
Job responsibilities
1. Build key solutions across Research to extend, enhance and modernise our platforms
2. Take ownership of end-to-end roadmap items
3. Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and plan delivery
4. Work collaboratively with a global team of passionate engineers
5. Drive overall solution quality with a focus on code-quality, stability and resiliency
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
6. Demonstrate ownership of delivery end-to-end from ideation to production
7. Deep expertise in one or more programming languages and ideally some system design/architecture
8. Strong problem solving ability with an ability to pick up new technologies and domains quickly
9. Understanding of software delivery and working in an Agile environment
10. Proven experience in breaking down product requirements to actionable engineering deliveries
11. Strongmunication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers at all levels of an organisation
