Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated worker to join our team who will carry out a high standard of care and assist to meet residents' individual needs within a caring environment. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* To provide, where appropriate, personal assistance to residents such as bathing, washing, toileting, pressure area care and dressing.
* Reporting to Nurse in Charge, untoward incidents e.g. falls, accidents, complaints etc and contributing to the maintenance of same within the established procedures.
* Supervise and assist with feeding when necessary at meal times.
* To help maintain a homely atmosphere within the Home which encourages the Residents to be as independent as possible.
* Maintain NISCC registration and comply with standards.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral to communicate effectively with residents.
* Must be registered with NISCC or be prepared to register following induction.
* Teamwork skills.
* Physically able to carryout the role.
Desirable Skills
* At least 6 months' experience in either nursing, residential or community care setting preferred.
