Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional healthcare environment, supporting both patients and clinical staff. Prior dental experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
* Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
* Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
* Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
* Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
* Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
* Liaise with dental practitioners and staff to coordinate daily operations
* Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
* Assist with patient correspondence, including reminders for upcoming appointments
Qualifications
* Previous office or administrative experience is desirable
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
* Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
* Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office or similar programmes
* Knowledge of dental or healthcare environments is a plus but not essential
