Main duties of the job
* Deliver a comprehensive medicines management service within the Emergency Department.
* Provide expert advice and practical support to clinical staff on medicines-related matters.
* Promote the safe, effective and economical use of medicines.
* Undertake a range of technical pharmacy duties to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care.
* Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement.
* Work collaboratively with the wider pharmacy and ED teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Job responsibilities
* Is a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), or a Pre-Registration Student eligible for registration this year.
* Demonstrates strong initiative and a proactive approach.
* Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Is committed to maintaining high professional standards.
* Has excellent communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications
* Registered as a Pharmacy technician with GPHC
* Medicines Management experience/ accreditation (GPhC recognised course)
Desired qualifications
* GPhC Recognised Accredited Checking qualification

* Current/ recent work in pharmacy sector
Experience & Knowledge - Desirable
* Experience of working in hospital pharmacy
