Responsibilities
* Assist with the sales planning of who to target as attendees at each event
* Outreach activity to local businesses and organisations including business parks, retail parks, schools, colleges and sports clubs etc
* In reach promotional activity within the hotel to create interest and secure new bookings eg leisure club member activity plans, lobby hosting etc
* Proactive telephone calls to both past and potential new customers to secure bookings and answer any queries that they may have
* Upsell telephone calls to guests staying over the Christmas period
* Assisting with the coordination of events including chasing payments, menu & drinks choices and dealing with any special requests
* Learning to use the booking systems and updating this with the relevant information in an accurate and timely manner into Sales System
* Research and action exposure on local organisations intranets/ social media and promotional forums
* Updating Sales System with daily figures inputting new ticket sales and reconciling payments
* Chasing final balance payments
Qualifications
* Have an outgoing, personable character
* Be target focussed
* Be flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
* Have great attention to detail
* Be confident on the telephone and face to face with clients
* Have knowledge of social media
* Have good written English
* Have experience of customer service (does not need to be hospitality)
Hours per week : 37.5hrs
