Brampton Willows provide the highest quality bespoke woven fences, sculpture and commission pieces to clients throughout the UK and occasionally further afield.
We have been perfecting our craft for over 35 years and have an established local reputation as well as an expert team of craftspeople. Alongside this we have been developing a range of products to showcase online and to promote at exhibitions.
Due to company growth and high demand for our products we are now looking for full time trainees to join our growing team This presents a fantastic opportunity to learn a new skill and develop with expert craftspeople within an interesting and niche industry.
Two positions are currently available and full training will be provided.
Training for this role will be ongoing. Willow weaving is a skill that takes a long time to perfect, and it is therefore essential you have a strong desire and aptitude for learning a unique craft.
Some people have been surprised at how physical a job weaving fences is and it is vital that candidates are physically fit and enjoy manual work. Constructing one of our fences involves hammering steel poles into the ground with a sledgehammer and sometimes these need digging and concreting in. We also work outside in all weathers.
The role can be varied and creative, however, whilst you perfect your skill it will take dedication and passion to perfect all aspects of our trade.
Due to the varied and unique role we are offering our recruitment process will consist of an informal interview followed by a paid trial period of between 2 to 5 days for a shortlist. This will give candidates a better insight into the role and requirements and enable us to make a fair assessment of ability.
Full driving license is required to drive company vehicles.
