We have an exciting role on offer within our Access and Safeguarding Services as a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentice.

The role is the front door into adult social care, which is fast paced and at times challenging. So, if you enjoy working under pressure this is the role for you. Middlesbrough adult access safeguarding team support adults, age 18+, families and informal carers to live an enjoyable life as independently as possible. We take a strength based and empowering approach, looking at Prevention and Reablement and current support systems available to the individual.
The Access Safeguarding Administrator Apprentice role will involve taking incoming calls and emails in relation to a range of queries from members of the public and professionals. The role also involves inputting new referrals onto the system. To support this, individuals will require good communication and computer skills. It is desirable candidates understand the eligibility and safeguarding criteria as well as the wellbeing principal in respect of the care act 2014 for access to services. Candidates will be expected to screen referrals in line with the above, signpost individuals to prevent reduce and delay the need for services. It will be expected candidates gather thorough information for referrals that are progressed for services and be able to make low level decisions.
The service is very keen to promote flexible working for all staff. This includes agile working at home as well as a base at the newly renovated council building, Fountains Court.
