Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’. We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards! We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support, and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Do you like to bake?
Are you a football fan?
Do you love music and going to gigs and dancing?
Then you might be a great fit for our team! In this role, you will be supporting a young man who has recently moved into temporary accommodation in Lomond Gardens in Inverness. He hopes to move into a permanent home soon (which will be in Inverness) and would love his team to come with him!
This gentleman struggles with his mental health, so he is looking for understanding and positive people to join his team to help him navigate his challenges and live an amazing, happy, and fulfilling life. A background in supporting people with bipolar disorder and learning disabilities would be a huge bonus!
As a Support Worker, you will help him with everyday tasks, like cooking, cleaning, managing his finances, attending appointments, and shopping. In addition, our waking night staff ensure he is safe and comfortable overnight and have someone to talk to when he needs it.
He would love to meet people interested in his hobbies, so if you enjoy walking, going to the gym, watching and playing football (he's a big Man United fan), and singing karaoke, you could be the perfect fit! This young man is a Christian, and his faith is important to him, so he would love someone who is happy to support him to follow his faith.
We are currently recruiting for Support Workers for waking night shifts from 10 pm - 8 am and are recruiting for a 40-hour post and a 30-hour post.
To ensure fairness for all staff, the successful applicant must be able to work shifts from Monday-Sunday - we are not able to guarantee the same days each week.
Your values:
We know it takes a special person to work in social care, and we recognize that not everyone who would be perfect for the role will have professional experience. That’s why we’re really passionate about recruiting based on individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; from those with vast experience in support or care roles, from people with lived experiences, or those with no experience at all.
It is also important that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable - which are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring high-quality, consistent care and support. People’s values are important to us, so we look for individuals with:
* A problem solver
* Resilience
* Patience
* Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity to others
* A strong work ethic
* Reliability
* Honesty
* Determination
