Offer description

Practice Group / Department: Early Careers - Apprenticeships Job Description We're Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide. We provide the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. As well as the relevant skills and experience, we're looking for people who are innovative, commercial and value the work that they do. We celebrate multiple approaches and points of view and believe diversity drives innovation, so we're building a culture where difference is valued. Have you thought about law? Are you worried about the costs of university or put off by how competitive it is to obtain a job as a trainee solicitor? Perhaps you are simply keen to get into the world of work and start building a career. If so, Norton Rose Fulbright's Apprenticeship Programme might be for you. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to develop to their full potential, which is why we have launched our Apprenticeship Programme to offer an additional route to qualifying as a solicitor. Our apprentices will work alongside and learn from some of the brightest minds in their field, helping to solve some of our clients' most complex legal and business problems while learning the academic and practical skills needed to excel as a lawyer. They will receive a high standard of training from us while studying one day per week. In this programme, you will spend the first 4 years rotating around our key practice groups - Corporate, Disputes and Banking - every 12 months. These rotations will also include Compliance and General Counsel. For your final 2 years, you will mirror a trainee rotation of 4 x 6 month rotations including the opportunity to go on international secondment. We have up to four vacancies for talented individuals to join our Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme starting in September 2026. We are looking for lawyers of the future - enterprising, digitally minded individuals with the intellectual curiosity and aptitude needed to thrive in our legal business. This Apprenticeship Programme application window is open everyone who has completed their A-Levels, or final school year leavers who are completing their A-Levels in 2026, and will take place over six years. Applicants should not have completed a university degree and should have the right to work in the UK. On successful completion of the Programme, our apprentices will have achieved a LLB (Hons) Law and Legal Practice degree and a Level 7 Apprenticeship, qualifying as solicitors. The starting salary will be £28,000, and will increase year on year commensurate with a graduate trainee solicitor salary by the fifth year. All study fees will be paid by Norton Rose Fulbright. Securing a place on this programme is subject to a successful application, psychometric testing, a pre-recorded video interview and assessment day – support will be provided by our early careers team to guide you through this process. To be considered we require you to have obtained and be on track to achieving AAB at A-Level (or equivalent, i.e. BTEC), however we understand that a successful team only thrives with a diverse range of skills, therefore we are also interested to hear about your strengths and motivations, as well as your extra-curricular achievements. Be assured that we run a fair and contextualised recruitment programme, therefore any mitigating circumstances will also be taken into consideration. For more information on contextualised recruitment please click here. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion To attract the best people, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can bring their whole selves to work, have a sense of belonging, and realize their full career potential. Our new enabled work model allows our people to have more flexibility in the way they choose to work from both the office and a remote location, while continuing to deliver the highest standards of service. We offer a range of family friendly and inclusive employment policies and provide access to programmes and services aimed at nurturing our people’s health and overall wellbeing. Find more about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion here. We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and encourage applications from individuals who can complement our existing teams.
