Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30hrs per week
Your workstyle in this role will require you to work from a fixed workplace.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Deputy Registration Manager at Neath Port Talbot Register Office.
As a Deputy Registration Manager, you will support the Superintendent Registrar and assist with leadership and supervision of the registration team.
Your daily routine will include supporting the Superintendent Registrar in the overall management of the local Registration Service for births, deaths, and marriages.
Supervise and provide day-to-day guidance to Registration Officers, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the register office.
Oversee the delivery of statutory registration services, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and council policies.
Supervise on complex or sensitive cases, providing expert advice and support to staff and the public. Processing card payments and assisting with coordinating all bookings and ceremonies.
Deputise for the Superintendent Registrar as required, including representing the service at meetings and events.
Ensure high standards of customer service and professionalism across the team.
About you:
Do you have:
Previous Registration experience
Management experience
Experience working within a customer-focused environment
Experience of supporting, motivating and supervising a team.
Degree level or Equivalent qualifications
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) Registrar's qualification, or willingness to work towards this
Knowledge of Health and Safety at work
