A newly created opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join a profitable and growing manufacturing business based in Elland. This is a varied, hands-on role that blends manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and systems development.
The business is in an exciting phase, establishing its first UK manufacturing plant and integrating a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). Youll play a key part in shaping cost visibility, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial insight across the operation.
The role will include
Developing and maintaining standard costing models, BOMs, and routings
Preparing detailed variance analysis (labour, material, overhead, yield)
Producing management accounts and KPI dashboards with commentary
Partnering with operations and procurement to drive cost control and efficiency
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Leading ERP development and reporting improvements within Business Central
Enhancing management information, reporting automation, and data accuracy
Youll need
Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent (study support available)
Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong cost awareness
Good knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Strong Excel skills and confidence with data analysis
A proactive mindset and interest in systems, process improvement, and commercial insight
The business offers
Salary circa £40,000 £45,000 depending on experience
Annual bonus averaging 2535% of base salary
Total compensation £52,000 - £58,000
