Senior Staff Nurse - Critical Care Unit

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Staff Nurse with the ability to inspire others to deliver the highest standards of patient care.

This role involves leading by example, being an ambassador for the organisation's way of caring, recognising talent, nurturing junior staff, and mentoring them to be the best nurses they can be, using clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs.
Reporting to the Senior Sister, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with top clinical talent and experiencing new practices, equipment, and facilities, all maintained to high standards.
* Your key responsibilities include providing day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students, with responsibilities such as:
* Work scheduling/rotas
* Involvement in recruitment, induction, performance review, attendance management, disciplinary and grievance matters
* Competency assessment, training, development, and mentoring of staff
* Ensuring work is carried out efficiently and according to protocols
This private hospital in Leeds city centre has excellent transport links, with 70 en-suite bedrooms and an 8-bed critical care unit accepting patients from various specialties, including cardiac, general, or neurological surgery.
Requirements:
* Nurse/Practitioner qualification
* NMC Registration and Pin
* Qualification in teaching and assessment
* Professional management qualification
* ILS/ALS certification
You should have experience with multispecialty surgical procedures, professional training, and preferably a qualification in a specialist area. Excellent clinical skills and mentoring experience are essential.
