Design Engineer role in Aylesford, Kent | £45‑50k + benefits | Permanent, full‑time
Location: Aylesford, Kent
Salary: Circa £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings
* Support the design of components, tooling and production equipment
* Produce clear manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
* Manage drawing control, revisions and data within a PDM system
* Support production improvements, tooling changes and equipment upgrades
* Work closely with engineering, production and maintenance teams
* Assist with technical investigations and problem‑solving activities
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of drawing standards and processes
Skills and Experience
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar, or equivalent experience
* Experience using 3D CAD software
* Strong attention to detail and organised working style
* Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
Desirable but not essential
* Autodesk Inventor
* Autodesk Vault or other PDM systems
* Exposure to FEA tools
* Experience within a manufacturing environment
Training and development will be provided for the right candidate.
