Overview
CPL's Health division are currently recruiting a Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Band 6/7). This is a clinic-based role in Surrey. Sponsorship offered if required. The client is a multi-professional therapy practice providing specialist therapy services to children 0-18 years with diagnoses including Sensory Processing Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Speech and Language delay/disorders, attachment and trauma difficulties, global developmental delay or neurological disorders.
Approach
They follow a 3 step approach:
* IDENTIFY: After a comprehensive assessment package, areas of strength and challenge for the child are identified.
* EDUCATE: They share knowledge and educate everyone working with the child to ensure their unique needs are fully understood and supported.
* ACCELERATE: Within each therapeutic treatment package, a designated therapist works with school, family and the child to provide personal therapy, individualized goals and specific activity programmes to address the child\'s needs and support progress at an appropriate pace.
Responsibilities
* Involve direct work with children and young people with Autism and other complex needs, as listed above.
* Support Therapists, including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, in the provision and further development of high quality therapeutic work.
* Implement a range of therapy interventions under the guidance of the relevant Therapist and produce therapy resources.
