Location Leicester Start Date ASAP Role SEMH Tutor (1:1 Provision) Pay Competitive rates dependent on experience About the Role You will work closely with a young person who presents with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, delivering personalised learning sessions that build confidence, engagement, and academic progress. The successful tutor will create a safe, supportive learning environment while adapting lessons to meet the individual needs and interests of the learner. Key Responsibilities ✅ Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to the pupil's needs ✅ Build a positive and trusting relationship with the learner ✅ Support emotional wellbeing alongside academic development ✅ Adapt teaching strategies to promote engagement and success ✅ Monitor progress and provide regular feedback ✅ Encourage attendance, motivation, and positive learning behaviours We Are Looking For ✔ Experience working with SEMH pupils, LAC, or vulnerable young people ✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable but not essential ✔ Tutors, teachers, mentors, youth workers, or support staff with relevant experience welcome to apply ✔ Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills ✔ Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach ✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Why Join Us?
