Deputy Manager - Children's Assessment Home (3-Bed EBD) Location: Whiteparish, Salisbury, SP5 2SJ
Hours: 40 hours per week (approx. Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour + £5.00 overtime rate
Sleep-In Rate: £65 per shift We are seeking a committed and experienced Deputy Manager to join our new 3-bedroom Children's Assessment Home.

NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare ( essential )
Level 5 in Leadership & Management ( desirable or willingness to work towards )
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in residential childcare (including supervisory responsibilities)
Full UK manual driving licence
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and assessment practice.
Support the development and management of the service in line with regulatory requirements
Lead shifts and supervise staff, promoting a positive and accountable team culture
Deliver high-quality, child-centred care and assessment
Monitor and review care plans, risk assessments, and reports
Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
Oversee and support assessment placements for children
Ensure accurate observation, recording, and report writing
Promote positive outcomes through effective care planning
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are consistently followed
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience supporting children with complex needs and behaviours
Confident managing challenging behaviours in a calm, professional manner
Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and child development
