Job Description
* Oversee all transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
* Liaise with suppliers to manage stock efficiently.
* Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise supply chain processes.
* Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries or issues related to transport services.
* Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of transport activities within overall business operations.
* Utilise IT systems, including Outlook and Word, to manage schedules, documentation, and reporting.
* Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including vehicle maintenance and compliance checks.
* Train and supervise staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance within the transport team.
The Successful Applicant
* Proven experience in logistics or transport management.
* Strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in IT applications such as Outlook and Word.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced environment.
* CPC Transport Manager Qualification.
* Experience with hazardous chemicals is a huge bonus but not essential
