Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join Dr Carol Leung's research group at the Oxford Centre for Immuno-Oncology. The group focuses on developing novel cancer immunotherapies, particularly cancer vaccines that stimulate the immune system to recognise and eliminate tumour cells.
Responsibilities
• Conduct cutting‑edge translational research using in‑vivo tumour models and a range of immunological and molecular biology techniques, including T cell assays, multicolour flow cytometry (FACS), ELISA, PCR, and Western blotting. • Manage own research activities, analysing complex data, refining experimental approaches, and contributing to new research ideas and funding applications. • Collaborate closely with colleagues across research groups and external partners, and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
Qualifications
• PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in Biological Science, Biomedical Science, Immunology, or a related field. • Experience in immunological techniques and in‑vivo tumour models. • Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills. • Experience in cancer vaccine research, bioinformatics, or supervising junior researchers is advantageous.
Contract and Eligibility
This position is offered full time on a fixed‑term contract for 2 years and is funded by the Academy of Medical Science Springboard Award.
