Scale/Range: Grade E, scp 5-6 FTE/Contracted Hrs: 32.5 Actual Salary: £19,242 - £19,985 Contract Type: Permanent Location: Brooke School, Overslade Lane, Rugby, CV22 6DY Contract Basis Term Time (39 weeks) Start Date: ASAP About us Brooke School is a broad-spectrum special school catering for pupils aged 4 -19 years. We have a warm, mutually supportive and caring ethos with enthusiastic and skilled staff who are highly aspirational and committed to pupil welfare, progress and life-chances. Our School is part of Unity MAT, which is a small, ambitious Trust comprising of ourselves and two other similar special schools. Our collaborative working means that we have a shared understanding of the challenges and issues that our schools face and can work together to find solutions. The schools are supported by a strong Core Team who provide dedicated support services across the Trust. What we need We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our hard working and dedicated staff team at Brooke School so that we can provide the highest quality education for our learners. The core purpose of the role will be: • To support pupils learning as directed by the class teacher • Assist with preparation of learning materials and resources, participate in record keeping and provide feedback about learning activities. • To provide support to pupils with their personal, social and emotional development and encourage independence • Liaise with families to answer queries • Follow all school procedures and actively work towards safeguarding children and young people, maintain professional conduct and contribute and uphold the ethos and values of the school.
