Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)
The Assistant Accountant is a vital part of the finance department. You will utilize your previous experience as an Accounts Assistant to support team members and work closely with the Dealership Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in our Dealership Accounting team, helping you develop your skills and build a successful career in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct daily bank reconciliations, including cash and bank postings, especially during team absences.
2. Process purchase ledger invoices and payments.
3. Handle daily banking activities.
4. Review and analyze vehicle and cash sale debts weekly.
5. Assist the Dealership Accountant with month-end tasks.
Qualifications
We seek a dedicated Assistant Accountant with experience using Kerridge/ADP or similar systems. Motor trade experience is advantageous but not essential. We welcome quick learners eager to start their accounting careers, as we value fresh talent.
